At Hamke Racecars, we pride ourselves on not being a cookie-cutter company. From the time you first walk in the door, you’ll notice that we’re different from most chassis builders. We’re not interested in becoming a mass supplier of cars or parts. We take the time to make sure our customers get what they need and a lot of that includes custom-building parts for our racecars. From control arms to bracketry, we manufacture the vast majority of our parts in-house so that quality control is close to home and we’re able to change the design to suit the needs of our customers and the competitive atmosphere of the time.

Control Arm - One Piece Lower (Late Model Stock)

lmsc-lower-thumbHand-built by our staff of specialized fabricators, each control arm is designed to fit using a screw-in ball joint and clear almost any shock and spring coilover package. Standard lengths are kept in stock while custom lengths and/or offsets are available to order. Length measurement is taken from the center of the ball joint to the centerline of the shaft. Each control arm requires the use of a Hamke caster slug for proper fit.

Control Arm - Lower (Strut-type / straight-rail)

lower_control_arm_leftDesigned specifically to fit a Hamke chassis, arms come with a pad or chain (depending on side) for sway bar and a screw-in ball joint ring. Hamke’s length measurement is taken from center of ball joint to center of heim. Most common lengths are 15″ (left) and 18″ (right) but please verify yours before ordering.

Spindles

Wide-5 spindle (right side)

Hand-built by industry leader Precision Built Spindle, each Hamke spindle is fabricated to the utmost precision for exact, predictable handling and setup. Spindles are engineered to take one ball joint slug on top (king pin angle) and one on the steering arm (Ackermann). Specify your chassis type (i.e straight rail, late model stock, etc.) and hub preference (wide-5 or 5×5) when ordering. “Short” spindles are also available for super late model/straight rail applications and may be mixed/matched depending upon your front end geometry setup.

Strut Rod End (For straight-rail cars)

strutrodEach Hamke strut-type suspension takes a unique inverted-type clevis like this one to attach to the lower control arms. With standard 3/4-LH thread, they screw easily into whatever type of tube you choose to use with your front suspension.

Sway Bar Adjuster Eye

swaybar_adjustereyeEvery Hamke car without a sway bar tube utilizes an eyebolt system to preload the sway bar on the front of the car. Simply turn the adjustable eyebolt (one per car) and the arm will be preloaded accordingly. Most cars utilize the preload on the right front horn while the non-adjustable eyebolt is on the left front.

Each side of your sway bar needs some type of arm to transfer load through the control arms properly. Some customers prefer to bend their own and order a straight arm while others utilize our pre-bent options. These may be used with the zero-drop style of arms as part of an entire system.

Sway Bar Arm (Adjustable)

swaybar_zerodropRunning low on ground clearance when in travel? Dragging your current sway bar arms on the track? No more! The Hamke adjustable sway bar arm allows you to mount your bar higher and travel the front further resulting in more grip and more speed. A unique preloader system allows precise adjustment on the arm while the car is in the pits using a simple ratchet or wrench. These arms can be combined with standard sway bar arms on the opposite side.

Sway Bar Bushing

swaybar_bushingFor use in both Hamke tube-type sway bar setups and eyebolt setups, these sway bar bushings are designed to hold sway bars in position without inadvertently transferring load to other parts of the racecar. Fits most splined sway bar applications.

Sway Bar Chain(s)

Each Hamke chassis has a variety of designs that customers use, but the most popular option, by far, is a sway bar chain. Available in various styles, the most popular of which are bolt-bolt and bolt-bushing combinations, these tiny pieces help keep the sway bar system functioning as intended when load is applied.

Sway Bar Collar

swaybar_collarKeep the sway bar from sliding around where it shouldn’t be with these handy sway bar collars. Machined of billet aluminum, they clamp firmly to the bar to keep it from moving away from where it was intended to be. Clamps are available in most common sway bar sizes (1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-3/4).

Upper Control Arm (Ball-Bearing)

Standard lengths are kept in stock while custom lengths and/or offsets are available to order. Length measurement is taken from the center of the ball joint to the centerline of the shaft. Each control arm requires the use of a Hamke caster slug for proper fit. A ball bearing shaft ensures consistent operation without binding, even in some situations when the car or other suspension components are tweaked.

Anti-dive is no exception and these slugs are designed to fit the short-style Hamke upper control arm mounts to control dive/anti-dive.

Camber Shim Kit

Camber Shims

Control each wheel’s camber by using proper camber shims. While there are a few varieties of shim available, these are the recommended style for any Hamke chassis. Constructed of billet aluminum, each shim is able to slide out by loosening control arm bolts and fits perfectly onto our control arm bolt pattern.

Caster Slug Kit

In order to promote the most adjustability without possibility of moving bolts, each Hamke chassis utilizes a slug-type setup where major pivot points are located within the front end. Caster is no exception and these slugs are designed to fit all Hamke upper control arm shafts to control caster without the possibility of moving under load. Use the slotted slug to mock-up and record measurements, then replace it with a proper slug for best results.

Spindle Slug Kit

Spindle-Slugs

Sick of having different spindles for different front end settings? These slugs help to streamline that problem. Change your king pin angle and Ackermann settings by simply changing these slugs out on the upper ball joint or tie rod end. NOTE THAT the upper ball joint slugs and tie rod slugs are NOT interchangeable. Each pin has a different taper that requires a slightly different bore inside the slug.

acceldecelA popular option for third links on many straight rail and super late model cars, the accel-decel third link assembly can help control rear end travel and twist under acceleration and braking loads. Get an added advantage over your competition by bolting this onto your machine and putting another tuning tool in your arsenal. Replacement bushings are also available in various durometers.

Panhard Bar

Specially designed with the latest in technology, these components are one of the most important in tuning the rear half of a racecar. CNC-machined aluminum work allows maximum workload under minimal stress. All-steel bars may be built-to-order, or take delivery on the “stock” Hamke bars or bar assemblies. Panhard Bar Mount - Adjustable Drop Mount (Frame)

100-604-8The “Low Rider” adjustable drop mount panhard adjuster allows adjusting the panhard bar lower than ever before. A total travel of 4-1/2″! Bolts directly to 1-3/4″ tube, 1/2″ square adjust on the end. Permits mount rotation up to 20 degrees. Double shear design supports the panhard bar on both sides for smooth and easy adjustment. Easy to read markings for precise height adjustment.

Panhard Bar Mount - Adjustable (Rear End)

100 604-7 & 100 604-7-1Easily tune and adjust your left-side Panhard mounting point with this specially made left side Panhard bracket. A serrated edge with mounting hardware takes away the old days of twisting and turning a triangle attached to the axle tube. Now, simply loosen, move, measure, and tighten. You’ll be back on-track in a jiffy to dial the rest of the car in.

Panhard Bar Mount - Adjustable Drop Mount (Rear End)

100-604-9_FrontHamke adjustable rear-end side panhard brackets include collar bolts that never have to be loosened, 6″ of total adjustment, 1/2″ drive ratchet bushing for easy adjustment, marked in 1″ increments. Angled bracket is for running the panhard bar off the roll center and is installed closer to the axle tube to increase strength and reduce clearance issues. This panhard bracket can reach approximately 10-1/2″ to 16-1/2″ panhard height from C on the car to the ground.

Rear Trailing Arm Mount (Frame)

HOW318927LMake large or small angle changes easily by loosening the ” trailing arm bold and simply turning the fine adjuster up or down 1/16″ per turn. Entire mount attaches to the frame with two 5/8″ bolts.

Rear Trailing Arm Mount (Rear End)

T-Arm-RearAluminum trailing arm mounts can not compare to the clamping power of this weldable cast steel bracket. Not only does it have more than 50% greater clamping force, it offers an added shock mount. Two mounts 1-1/2″ apart allow for changes in the spring stance for easy roll rate adjustment. The trailing arm holes are threaded 3/4-10 and the shock mounts are 1/2-13.

Right Rear 2-way Tracker

2_way_trackerTwo way tracker transitions from acceleration to deceleration mode and vice-versa in a smooth shock free motion without upset to the car. Steers right rear ahead under acceleration for increased forward traction and tighter corner exit. Steers right rear back on deceleration to help steer car through the corner, actually reduces front steering angle. Acceleration and deceleration travel are individually tunable. Rugged sealed bearing housings and chrome plated shaft assures bind free consistent performance.

Third Link Rear End Brackets

100-600-1Aluminum setback slotted quick change top link brackets, pair. Allows use of longer top link bar, increases traction through greater leverage. Requires rear set back shock bar for clearance. 7″ back of center line. Works great with Accel/Decel top link system. 3/4″ Bolt and spacers sold separately.

Clips may be custom built or simply include the stock Hamke measurements and components such as A-arm mounts and engine mounts, but please specify what type of engine you will be running when ordering (i.e. GM crate, GM built, Ford crate, etc.).

Fuel Cell Can

Rear Bumper Assembly

Back it into the fence? No problem. We’l help to get you squared away and ready to race again with a new rear bumper assembly. Built to fit most Hamke chassis that run ABC bodies, this is one of the simplest bolt-on parts we offer. Simply slide the supports into the sleeves located on the frame, size it up properly, and you’re ready to rock for another night of racing. Fits AR Bodies and Five Star ABC-compliant bodies. Right Side Door Bars

These right side door bars are a simple bolt-on accessory to replace the mangled mess you took off after “the other guy” ran into you last race. Shock Hoop

While we always recommend having us or a Hamke-certified repair center install your clips and shock hoops, we do offer the ability to purchase and install your own shock hoops on your racecar. Hoops may be custom built or simply include the stock Hamke measurements and shock mount. Additional accessories (wedgebolts, Leavitt shock mounts, etc.) are available upon request.
